Grillin’ Thauth

Rod Gentry was born in the woods of Manistee County, Michigan, near the town of Arcadia. His parents were retired circus people and lived the simple life, combing the woods and roadsides for delicious meats to feed the friends and family who dropped by to stay for a meal or two. “The logging trucks did most of the hunting for us,” Rod chortled, “which was handy since I wasn’t allowed to shoot a gun.”

To make every kind of meat taste better, Rod concocted a special sauce that he slathered on while the meat was cooking. One of his best friends, Screetch, who was hit in the mouth accidentally during his trapeze act, used to always ask, “Where that grillin’ thauth at?” Word of this “Grillin Thauth” spread throughout Michigan, and soon Mr. Gentry was selling his famous Blanket of Love sauces all over the world. We still make each jar in Michigan with the highest quality ingredients. Spread the Love!
