Use It
Some folks have asked Rod his opinion of the best way to use Grillin’ Thauth or Yardbird Sweet. There are as many answers to that question as there are people asking the question. But here are just a few of his favorites. Use the Contact Us page to let Rod know your favorite way to use it.
- Dipping sauce for tortilla chips, potato chips, crackers and fingers;
- Grilling on meats (use it in just the last few minutes of grilling to prevent burning);
- Base for pizza… mixed equal parts with your favorite pizza sauce, topped with chicken, goat cheese, green peppers, and mozzarella … maybe even some cilantro;
- Use a half cup in a three pound meatloaf mix;
- Use it to polish silverware
- Use it to make pulled pork or beef for sandwiches;
- Use as a sauce for meatballs (see recipe), just toss meatballs in the sauce after they have cooked fully;
- The best pot roast ever:
- Apply directly to a spoon and take it as you would any other folk medicinal substance;
- When grilling vegetable kebobs, brush the veggies near the end of cooking with Thauth so it doesn’t burn;
- Use it on a compress to remove splinters.
- pour off the broth and add to ramen noodles for a dormroom delight
